MC 2150 adapter question

I have a 2150 and a Mr Gasket 1937 adapter plate. The adapter doesn't completely cover the front bottom of the carb, leaving part of the vacuum channels open. How do I seal this?

Ya, I just ran into the same problem. I'm planning on getting a plate of aluminum and machining my own adapter plate. If anybody knows of any other way to do this, I think we both would like to know, thanks.

I just got the carb rebuild done except for a problem with the choke linkage. Something didn't go back together right. Hoping to put it on in the next week or so. My rebuild directions show a stock plate under the carb. I'm going to try to find one in a bone yard to see if that might fix it. It may make the whole thing too tall though.

If that doesn't yield anything, just plug that channel up with a squirt of JB-Weld, then sand it down real smooth. Probably be a heck of a lot easier.
