Well I went to unbolt my original spring hanger (driver's side front), and the bolts sheared off in the frame. One has about .3" of rusted threads sticking out, the other is not sticking out at all. Please, help!

i broke a bolt off in the frame on my tj. i drilled it as much as i could and tried an easy-out. i was afraid of snapping it off, so i put a big punch on the bolt and hit it with a mini sledge. it drove the bolt into the frame and snapped all the threads off. i retapped it to a bigger bolt size and everything was good.

if you have thread stickin out.. get a pipe wrench on it...

we had to cut both sides off with a cutting wheel one time and bend the hanger out to get them off one time

if all else fails, drill the sucker out and re-tap (as was previously mentioned). rust sucks!!!!
