Step by step guide to a trans swap?

I badly need to swap my trans and my clutch. I have the clutch kit and a brand new trans. but because those 2 parts are hella expensive i cant really pay any shop to do the work. does anyone have a step my step guide on how to swap a AX-15 manual trans out of a 1993??? Or if someone is In northern IL or south WI and wants to help me out.. :wink:

I'd gladly come help if I was around more. It's not really hard at all, you'll just be moving around some heavy parts. Remember everything that comes out, and where it came from. The only difference in putting it back in is the clutch alignment. A transmission jack REALLY helps a lot. But a standard hydro jack and a piece of wood will do the trick. Sometimes the tranny won't just slip into the clutch, so when it goes up, you might have to turn the output shaft to get it to align.
