While I'm fabbing up a spring outboard system for my jeep, I figure that I might as well replace the original, worn, leaking steering box since I will have to unbolt it from the frame anyway. What is a good box to bolt on? Right now the freeway ride is a bit scary for my taste; I plan on doing a shackle reversal, but imagine that the steering plays a part in the freeway handling as well. Also the Jeep is a big time wheeler that will have either 33" or 35" tires. I've heard that AGR has good boxes, but have also heard of people swapping FSJ steering boxes into their swb Jeeps. Any suggestions? What will be durable, powerful enough to turn these tires offroad, and not get me killed on the freeway?
