And you thought TRAINS were dangerous...

The rubber boot is shot on my steering shaft and there is alot of play in it. Is there a way to rebuild the shaft for cheap to eliminate this play, or do I need to buy a new shaft? If I buy a new shaft, I noticed that a stock replacement is about $100 cheaper than aftermarket ones. How well would a stock replacement shaft hold up with 35" tires and an AGR power steering box compared to an aftermarket shaft? Any suggestions?

There are rebuild kits for the factory shaft, or at least there used to be. The aftermarket shafts are nice, but I've never been able to bring myself to buy one. There isn't alot of stress on that shaft with power steering.
