How do I identify my tranny and transfer case

Where do i look on my 82 CJ-8 to identify what type of transmition(4spd) and transfer case i have.

	Transfer Case Mounted behind and driven by the vehicle transmission, the transfer case transmits power to the front and rear driveshafts in 4WD Jeep vehicles and offers high and low range.

If your tranny has a stick that is curved then its a t-4... if its a straight stick then you've got a t-176. Your transfer case should be a dana 300.
