I recently rebuilt my 4.2 Liter Jeep engine, since I was in there I did the upgrades that I wanted to do at the same time, TFI, Weber Carb, Port and Polish the head....ect. Anyway...The positive coil wire on my new Coil is getting hot when I turn the key switch on, and I'm not getting any spark. Is there supposed to be a resister wire attatched to the positive coil wire? I'm using the Holley Pro Street TFI coil if that makes a diffrence. Any help is appreciated.

Problem is fixed.....Thanks for everyones help. I really do appreciate it.

It was the Coil in case anyone is Interested.....Dont let anyone sell you a Holley Hole Shot Coil......It will not work with a standard ignition system, no matter what anybody says....There I said it! So Dont buy it!
