I need some advice on a future investent.... I am currently looking at and older model cj-7 thats had some "work" done to it..heh. They put a 350 in it, chevy rear and front ends, 4:56 gears, 39x15.5 inch tires, looks to be a 9 inch lift..? new exaust, everything in great shape except the tub. Its got some rust, dents, hood ltches gone, just looks like a mountain jeep tub. I was either gonna buy it for $3500 or trade for a 1971 volkswagen beetle. Worth it?

Take a look to see if the frame is solid and also try to tell if the drive train was put together well. If the frame looks good and and it drives like it should that would be a good deal in my opinion. [addsig]

I agree. Take a REALLY good lokk at the frame and the body mounts. Overall sounds like a good deal. Go for it.[addsig]
