how do i identify which axle i have in my 2001 TJ? the dana 35 or 44?[addsig]

If you have the Base, S, SE, or X package, they were only available with the D35 rear axle. The Sport was the only model available with the D44, and maybe the Sahara, not sure. Which package do you have?

There may be a white sticker around one end of the axle tube, just inside from the brakes. It may list your axle type, gear ratio, and any type of limited slip diff. See anything?

per your chart, i have the Dana 44 in the rear. while looking, i noticed a tag attached to my differential, would this possibly identify the gear ratio, etc..? I appreciate the help.[addsig]
