Electric fuel pump....
alrighty then... tried the hard starting question... no replies - here's what i'm thinkin to help cure the hard starting thing and rough idle immediately following - gonna switch to an electric fuel pump to 1- bypass the mech one and 2- pump up the sys if it is a carb draining problem - anyone done this?

Hey LV,
I had similar issues with mine. I got a new accelerator pump and replaced the choke spring. It starts a lot nicer and stays running with less warm-up. As a bonus, it idles and drives a lot smoother. Maybe places to look before the electric fuel pump. Parts were really cheap, but I have a different motor. However, if you do go the fuel pump route, post some info. I'm thinking about it too, because I got stuck on an incline the last time out. The engine just died. Once I got leveled out, lots of skinny pedal to pump fuel back in and it fired right back up. Hope that helps, X
