true...but according to 'the man'...you will shorten the life of your catalytic converter

Well, I will be able to tell you for sure if running cooler will give you better performance or mpg... I just changed my old thermostat (which was stuck in open position) with a Robert Shaw one, and now the Jeep is running at around 195 to 200 degrees (while before it would drop all the way down to 180*).
