heater

hello everyone.i'm new to the site,and i have a little problem with a 97 wrangler.my problem happens when i switch the heater to the dash vents the heat only comes thru the small upper vents not the larger vents.can anyone tell me what is wrong.thanks,blackbeast64

the mode door actuator moves from vacuum, you probably got a leak somewheres. you can check at the actuator to see if you got a leak or it's the door actuator itself

wait i just re-read your post..i'm confused..what do you mean the small upper vents? like the defrost vents??

It times like these I'm grateful my Renegade is so old, if something fails~bailing wire works lol

yes,the window defrost vents.---found the problem, the brackets on the top heater housing that holds the actuator in place was broken,and one flap lever missing.thanks for all the help.
