bushwacker fender flares

I need to know if anybody has installed the bushwacker pocket style cutout fender flares on a 73 cj 5 ?thanks

not a 73, but on a 5.. Looked retarded.

Bushwacker flares are horrible to begin with in my opinion. just a slight brush with a tree or rock and they blow up. they are very rigid ad have no give. I put TJ flares on my YJ and I have run rocks down the side of my jeep, the flares get all contorted and get ripped off, couple zip ties later and they are back on and almost always return to shape. Only front has not gone back to original shape, but I also mashed it really good into a tree.

If it were my 5... I would either put stock cj flares on.. or run no flares.

are you looking for more clearence? I would just cut and shape and make it look decent.

Did it look retarded because they stuck out farther than your tires?have you got any pics from the side?

exactly.. also I just don't like the look of those flares., I do not have pictures, this was a couple years back.
