undercoating..... good idea / bad idea

i'm planning on rubberizing under my jeep. anybody have any experiences or suggestions for me?

interesting that you would ask that..... i did that to my jeep complete undercoating and interior hurculine its great no rust to worry about, i can clean the interior with a hose and it will never get moldy. theres many good things about it but the only bad thing that i have noticed is that it holds alot of heat and seems to allways be hot which in turn warms up the inside of the jeep, good for the winter bad for the summer xpecially considering i have no A/C but its all around a good idea i think...

You really need to have the metal very clean before putting on undercoating, or else you'll just seal in dirt and rust.

Do alot of prep work and you should be fine.

One thing to watch out for is that if it's not done right, it will peel up and just trap moisture. As the previous post says, it's all in the preperation.

POR 15 works well, so I've heard. You can supposedly just paint right over the rust.
