Jeep Newbbbb

so i wanna know my jeep, front to end, but i'm not that educated on cars yet, so i was wondering what are the key components to the engine and how do they work with the car, like whats their purpose? and one more thing. JEEPS RULEEE

Ok first rule...this is a biggie in the jeeping world...

the word car doesnt go in any sentence when your talking about Jeeps. unless your bashing the car.

The best way to start off is, run down to your local auto parts store and find a Chilton's or a Haynes manual on the year of your jeep.
This along with the jeepers bible ( yes its a real book at your local book store) or Jeep 4x4 performance Handbook (Jim Allen) will give you a idea whats, what. What each parts name is and how it functions. The repair manuals will give you an idea on how to fix something when it breaks, and in Jeeping off-road it will.

The last one, the performance handbook will give you an idea to things like what are traction adding devises, like lockers and spools, the differance between a splitter and a overdrive....the list goes on. Things that the Chiltons dont cover.
