im confused

i have a 76 cj 5 with a straight 6 ( im thinking a 25and just installed power steering. the power steering componants came out of a late 70 cj?.i also removed the double pulley from the water pump of the doner jeep.when i installed the system on my jeep the pulley had to be shimmed out about a 1/2 inch and i couldnt get the power steering to line up with anything without removing the rear power steering bracket .i dont know if i have some od ball waterpump on my jeep or if the guy that owned it before me did so mcgiever stuff. so guys i need some advice and pictures of the belt configuration and the pump brackets mounted on the engine.im hoping i just have the wrong rear braket.
thanks marc
