New Tires

Time for new tires. I've got the Goodyear MT/Rs right now and they've been ok but looking for something different. I'm either going to go with the BFG muds or thinking about Kumho KL71s. Anyone have any experience with that model Kumhos?

Re: New Tires

I just changed shoes on my ride, first I dropped tire size from a 35 to 33 and went with a slightly less aggressive tire, BF goodrich T/A KO.
Far less road noise than my MT/r's and so far a superior street tire.
Down in Moab I aired them down to 8psi with Staun internal bead lockers and had absolutely no trouble on the top of the world trail and Rose garden hill which is broken and loose rock.

With todays gas prices and my ride being my rainy/snowy day driver as well as the weekend warrior I have been really happy with the K/O's.

Re: New Tires

Thanks Utah. As I was driving down the road yesterday with the wife and kid at about 60mph on the highway, top down, no doors and we couldn't hear each other talk, I realized I really don't need mud tires any longer. I just don't wheel enough to warrant them anymore. I think I'll be going with the BFG AT KOs as well.

Re: New Tires

We can now drive down the road and hear the wind going through our thinning hair now....everyone else's noisy tires...the boom dada boom of the future hearing impaired kids in there rice burners...well you get the picture
