    Soft top

Quick question about having a soft top. This is my first winter having a soft top.

How much weight can it hold?

It is snowing out and I was unsure how much weight it can hold, they are calling for around a foot of snow but toward the end of the storm it is going to be a wet snow which is going to make it heavy.i am trying to keep up with cleaning of fthe snow but at some point I need ot sleep and the storm will keep coming.

    Re: Soft top

    Hey there XT Master,

I've got a TJ with the soft top and half doors... It's seen quite a few snow storms and I'll say I'm impressed with the strength of the top bows. I've never had any trouble with the snow load (and it's had more than a foot on it at times). If I can get to it I try to remove some of the snow mid-storm but sometimes you just can't. I worry more about the windows. "They" say not to mess with them if it's below 40 degrees F or you might crack them. Well around here it gets below 0 F several times each winter. I don't touch the windows but, as any soft-topper knows, they wiggle around some when you drive. No problems yet, though...
One other method to prevent snow build up on the soft top is to drive the Jeep during the entire storm
    Best of luck - John

Sounds like a great plan, need to change the windshield wiper motor first. It has 2 speed, slow and slower.
