i have a '95 wrangler sahara edition and for some reason when ever i go through a little water (enough to make it splash onto the windshield!!) the engine will sound like it isn't getting enough gas and if i stop pumping the gas then it will die. then i have to let it sit awhile until i can start it again. i have no idea why it is doing this but it is kind of putting a damper on my 4-wheelin' fun. if anyone knows why this is happening and what i can do to fix it, it would be much appreciated. thanks

Sound's like water is getting on some electrical somewhere and causing a short. I know that doesn't help much but it might point you in the right direction.

If your Jeep was older, then I'd say it was the carb, but I believe you have fuel injection. I would first check that your distributor is not getting wet. Does the Jeep run rough for a while when this happens?
