removing the ignition control computer

I have a 86 CJ7 that was giving me the same grief that the bdd carb give everyone. I found a tech tip several years ago on how to get rid of it and run the distributor directly from the ignition module. I stumbled on it yesterday as being still on the net. It is listed as "nutter bypass" and details the wiring changes and other stuff required. I did it several years ago and never had any more stalling problems. If you are in an emission controlled state it might effect your ability to pass the checks.
