Gas Gauge quit working
I just purchased this 1991 Wrangler Renegade ang the gas gauge just quit working.With the motor off,The gauge reads on "E",when you start the motor,it goes straight to "F".Is this a short in the wire?Thanks

I would have to assume that the signal circuit is shorted to ground or the sending unit itself is stuck or shorted.. Disconnect the fuel sending unit wire from the module and see if goes back to empty. If it does, the problem is in the fuel sending unit.
