flowmaster 50, 60 delta flow

I have read alot about flowmaster 40 serious, however when i called flowmaster the tech guy said he wouldnt put a 40 on a jeep to save his life, said it would sound crappy, but opinions are like buttholes, we all have them, he told me a 60 would be his first option, then a 50 if he wanted it a bit louder.. he sais the 60 would still give it the flowmaster sound, just wouldnt drive you out of the cab while driving at higher rpms, I have a soft top..

so just curious what your thoughts are, Im sure most will say the 40 is just fine and i might just go with it anyways.
Also looking at magnaflow, i hear they sound just as good and come in stainless...

Re: flowmaster 50, 60 delta flow

I am OLD SCHOOL to the max. I LIKE that rumbling drone purr. I've had twin 40's on my 89 YJ behind twin cats and Hookers, And it was loud and sweet. My opinion; 40 Delta Flow or (nothing at all).

Re: flowmaster 50, 60 delta flow

I have a Magnaflow cat back system on my '06 TJ unlimited. Great power, rediculous interior resonance at 2000 rpms, above or below that it's good. I am kicking myself for not going Flowmaster or Gibson.

Which one was louder, the cat or the Hooker?
