4x4 indicator light

the 4x4 dash indicator light is NOT working. i tested the bulb it is ok i tried another bulb that is working and it still dont work..the jeep is going into 4Lo and 4h but the light is just not coming on in the dash. is there a sensor or sending unit i tried putting the shift level in different positions but the light dont even flash so it is not the shift leaver it is electrical i would think. all fuses are good.

Well my guess is that the sensor in the transfer case just is not hooked up right, or it's just shorting out someplace. It's probably just something easy to fix, you just need to look at the wire more closely. Check the wire going into the bulb, and see if it's plugged in all the way.

I have this problem too. How did you resolve this?

On my dana 300 transfer case it was a corroded connection at the sending unit. I know this is a different model than you have but still may be something to look at.

i just replaced the sensor with an oem one and it been fine everysince
