Jeep/chevy vehicle speed sensor???

Hey jeeple it's been awhile but here is my question, I just ordered my SYE from JB conversions the super short kit with the jeep VSS, now I'm putting in a throttle body 5.7-700r4-231c-hd, harness and computer is out of a 93 chevy 2wd 5 spd,, the guy I talked to at JB said I needed the jeep VSS to use my 95 wranglers factory speedo, now what I'm concerned with is will
My GM computer need a VSS signal for it to run right??? Thanks fo any help

Shouldn't. 700r4 is not electronic controlled. Engine controls back then seldom use vss. Unless for a speedo.

I'd contact Advance Adapters, Novak, Painless Wiring, or any company that reprograms the computers and see if there's a VSS input.

I wasnt sure who I could call about that,, but I have been told befor that the VSS was only for ABS brakes, not sure if that's right or not tho

Any of the tbi swaps I've done we're all with th350 so no vss. And had no problem. And most were 91 up tbi motors

The multiport GM engines need the VSS input but I doubt TPI does.
