Not liking the shifter on the floor

When I replaced my old 4.2L my 87yj with a 350 I ended up with a ton of slop in my steering column shifter. I put a B&M shifter on the floor and now I regret it as it leaves no room for a console. I'd love to put it back on the column but can’t find the parts. Any ideas on where I could find the needed shifter, column indicator etc?

any chevy from the 80s should have everything you need to put it back up top.

^^That^^ Just avoid van columns, they are different. also, FSJ, other jeeps and dodge trucks pre 93 will also work.

Try WWW.lmctruck.com and search 80's Chevy trucks. They have almost everything and cheap.

Not sure about the linkage but could the shifter be raised some. I guess Im thinking of a cable shifter. What Im picturing is a console between the seats and a 6-8" box in front of the console that the shifter sits on.

I have the B&M shifter connected with the summit cable adapter. It works great but don't like the look or feel. I'd rather have it back on the column but need the shifter, the initiator, the needle and a better understanding on how I access all the parts in the column to connect them back on the column.
