New fuel tank

Just got a 1985 CJ7. I need to put in a new gas tank. Has any one ordered a new tank from quadrateck for an 82 to 86 cj. The servece manuel shows 2 rollover check valves on the tank. All of the pictures I see for replacement tanks do not appear to have places for the vlaves. Can you just bypass the valves or do you have to drill holes in the new tank.

Does your diagram look like this:



I've just done some searching, and it looks like most of these check valves mount outside of the tank, under left rear tub corner, like this:



and look like this:





I'm no expert, but hopefully that helps.

all the ones i have seen are off the tank like those ones terry posted

Thanks Terry. The diagram in my chilton looks different and deffinatly shows them on the tank. Every place else says they are not on the tank. I think it might be a miss print, and be the diagram for a different model. Guess the only way to know for sure is to take the tank off and see. Found a new one on craigs list i am going to try and pick up today. Hopefully I will get this thing running this weekend.
