I got my Cap, Spacer, Rotor, and Coil today. I cant find the plug wires at Auto Zone so Ill get them tomorrow. Ill put it on this weekend and let yall know how it works.[addsig]

:-D Good luck and don't forget to re-gap your plugs. .045 if I recall. I did the ignition upgrade and my 89 4.2 runs like a champ. (I didn't even redo the timing eventhough I know I should at least check it). Overall, it does make for smoother running everything! 8-) [addsig]

I did the upgrade. You should use platinum spark plug the can handle the hotter spark better. Plus if you get the 2 -4 prong bosch plug you don't have to gap it.[addsig]

I opted to keep the Autolites I had in and regap them. I got it all on and it seems to run ok. Still stalls sometimes but thats due to the junky stock carb. Its kewl hitting 70 75 miles an hour with ease now, before it was tough to get 60 65 out of it. So it seems to have help it out a bit.[addsig]
