Hey guys, I've got a completely rebuilt CJ7, factory rebuilt steering gearbox, borgeson steering shaft with universals on both ends, new Rancho stabilizer, new 32x11.50's, new heavy duty shackle hanger brackets and heavy duty shackles, urethane bushings, but I still have a play problem in my steering. Tie rod ends are good too. It's not terrible but enough to keep you puckered at all times. I hate to mess with the steering gear box which is supposedly preset at the factory, or in this case, the rebuilders. Anybody have any good tricks on troubleshooting this and/or resolving [addsig]

Check the "slop" from the shackles. They will impart some play as there not solid. I can watch my front end shift back & forth a little when I steer lokto lok, and the shift is from the shackles have. (there old and worn)
If all the tie rod ends are good, the steering box is adjusted, really the only thing left is the shackles (unless you have broken steering box brackets?)
Good luck, keep us posted on what you find.
