4.2l intake coolant fittings

Just looking for a quick census on this. Has anyone attempted to remove these fittings? I going to be powder coating the intake and was wondering if these are even replaceable. I'm not looking to create more issues by messing up the threads. My sought was to heat it up a bit with a torch and then try removing.

Any thoughts? Should I just leave well enough alone and not bother. See attached pic if the fittings I'm looking at.

They are just standard NPT fittings (they are actually the inlet and outlet of your manifold heater). You could go to pretty much any hardware store and find compatable NPT X hose barb fittings that will work. You even go to McMaster Carr and order Stainless versions of them.
