Does any own a willy? There is one done the road for sale, and I can't get it off my mind. There is no price, and it looks ruff just at a quick drive by. What should I look for than just the obvious. Maybe the owner will let it go for cheap, defenitly a project. Thanks for any info.

rust is your killer. check the frame and body (tub) thoroughly. that'll be the biggest factor. next on the list is oil leaks, and any other leaks for that matter. that'll tell you if things are worn out, and which parts need replacing. history is always important too... an old jeep driven by a 17 year old will be MUCH different than one driven by an old lady.[addsig]

thanks for your thoughts. like I said I just did a quick drive by, so I don't know how bad of shape it really is in. all I know is I just spent $2200 on my yj, the old poket book is a little thin at the moment, so a project may be a little out of the question.I am still going to get a good look at it. I'll let ya know what it looks like, maybe a picture.
thanks again, Wride.[addsig]
