Hi
I own a 1999 Jeep Wrangler 4 cylinder. I am ready to do a tune up but I now have a new problem . The car will not start when moist out or after raining. Once the sun is out or the area is dry I have no problem. The engine is turning over but its almost as if there is no gas getting through.
Any ideas

Thanks

Any chance your distributor is getting water in it? I'd think that it's an electrical problem over a fuel one.

Verify spark, fuel and fuel pressure. Agree with cap being cracked. Also consider bad cracked boots on the wires.

I'd replace both distributor cap and plug wires.

Had the same problem with my 79 CJ5. Switched to points distributor. Never had another problem. Also allowed me to trail brake the motor down to very low RPM when on dirt.

I was having hard starting problems on 'Black Betty' for several months..... then it finally dawned on me. Turned out I failed to initally adjust the choke after installation over three years ago.
