I have a 1989 Wrangler that sometimes wont start if you open the fuel line to the throttle body then it will start it only does it sometimes like it is vaper lock but it does its cold or hot

Welcome to jeeps.com. . If there are no leaks along the fuel line from the fuel tank to the throttle body then fuel pump pressure could be a problem. How old is the fuel filter ? Could there be a restriction ? If filter is new , then pressure is draining back to tank due to fuel pump check valve unable to hold line pressure. Also , fuel pressure regulator on throttle body could have same problem. Unable to maintain pressure. A pressure test will have to be preformed but it is possible the problem is the check valve but more likely the regulator. The test must be performed at two ends of the line , close to the tank first and close to the engine second. You'll want to know if good but also if regulator is not holding pressure intermittently .
throttle body injection fuel pressure is not checked the same way as port fuel injection unfortunately . There is no schrader valve to connect gauge. The gauge must be tapped into the line by means of adapters which are normally supplied with the gauge.
