I jsut installed a new carb on my 304 and I'm having problems getting it working right. I had it running for 15 minutes today trying to set the choke and idle. When I shut it off and then tried to start it again it would only catch if I had the throttle fully open and it ran pretty rough. Lots of smoke came out of the PCV vale too. Could I be running really rich and dumped a whole pile of fuel into the crank? Any ideas what I'm doing? I think I might just get it towed to the shop and have a professional set it up. What do you guys think?[addsig]

You could be running real rich. But your supposed to adjust the timing after putting on a new carb. Did you do that?[addsig]
