Has anyone ever heard of "Kelly" tires? I saw them on a truck and the tread pattern looked cool. Just wondering if anyone knows anything about them.[addsig]

Kelly Springfield tires have been around a very long time. Goodyear aquired them several years ago. My Dad always ran them on his vehicles.[addsig]

Seen many Germans running Mickey Thompson, I havnīt looked at the sidewalls to see if they are a special model. They have a higher speed rating than most standard off-road tires.[addsig]

Mud caked tires has a lot to do with the type of mud. My wifes XJ with Goodyear ATīs does better, mostly than mine with Goodyear MTīs. The mud seems to cake up on my MTīs and just adds extra layers instead of shedding the mud. The ATīs seem to pick up just one thin layer and shed a little.
I used to have a set of General mud treads that worked well for lower priced tires, TSLīs seem to work the best, at least in our mud, but I seem to have an awful lot of stone cuts, nicks and chunks missing from the TSLīs.[addsig]
