My bother tried to gut his cat on a camaro... its messy and alot of work... go with straight pipe or a proformance hi-flow cat. I'm pretty sure it wont screw up your engine, but it will clog your muffler much faster.[addsig]

if you want a little extra performanc from the cat... get a 1.5" paddle bit, or even like a 2" hole cutter... drill it up in there all the way through the catalyst... make sure it all comes out with it though... the paddle bit will make small particles that will blow out.. if you use the hole cutter, be careful to make sure the plug you cut out comes with it... that will help a lot
