I should have bought a boat instead of a jeep with all this frigin rain. What is up with this 3 speed trans in an 88 yj? You go over 75 and it sounds like it is going to blow up![addsig]

The autos have no overdrive, get used to it. The 5spd has an overdrive :-D [addsig]

i'll send some florida sun up your way. Have you looked into getting an overdrive mod? i don't know much about the automatic set up but i'm sure you could put something in there.[addsig]

Look at Cherokees (XJ), I think the newer ones came with an OD auto behind the 4.0L, not sure. Lift and install some larger tires, that will bring your rpms down, but will take longer getting there  [addsig]
