AMC 20 rear axle bearings and seals

Hopefully someone can give me some time-saving hints. What is the best way to get at the rear axle bearings on an AMC 20 in order to repack them and possibly replace the inner oil seal? Is there a quick and easy way to do this without having to remove the hub from the axle shaft.

no the only way is remove hub pull axle out and have fun. you will need hub puller, i have to stand on breaker bar to get mine to come off.
