I just purchased a set of Unimog portal axles for my 1978 CJ7 and wondering if anyone had an idea, suggestion, comment, or anything for that matter to help me with the swap. These things are bad azz for anyone that doesn't know about them: 15" ground clearance on 33" tires, 3.73 gears w/ 2:1 hubs making it 7.5:1, 2.5 ton capacity, disc conversion available, mechanical manual lockers(lever operated), huge 1510 u-joints, etc etc. Now I just have to install..
