I'm thinking about buying one of these (1200lb) but not sure. I'm herd the horror stories of power steering pump failures on the old ones. I might add a secondary pump for the winch. Just looking for input. :? :?

I've heard good things about them, seems to be just a matter of personal preference between them and electric winches, though at least upgrading your power steering pump to a hi-po model would definately be a good idea

Don't get anything rated less than 8K, they have a 9K model now for under $600, I think it may have even been below $500.
It's personal preference, they have their pros and cons, as do electrics. I'd give it a shot had I not found an M8274 for $100
