I need to know what is the best soft top to buy for a 97 wrangler (want tinted windows) and how to I go about buying?

Get a Bestop Sunrider. You can get tinted windows for it and you can fold back just the front half if you want for a sunroof. It's also very easy to take down and put up.

Yeah I would take Craig's advice and go with the Sunrider. The half fold top option is a great one. If every my factory top bits the dust that is the move I plan to take. I hear you on the tint too. The year after I bought my TJ they started to come with the tinted soft tops from the factory
I've got a tinted hard top but not the soft..........

Oh and check out Quadratec for purchaseing a top. They have the sunrider and a bunch of other brands. I almost always use them for my Jeep needs :wink:
