Went to Autozone today and put out the cash for a new factory rebuilt Motorcraft 2150 carb and Advance Auto Parts for a Mr Gasket 1937 Adapter. Maybe I will be able to get out on the rails and enjoy the weather over the next few days. Five day forcast is high 70's and low 80's dry fall weather. Can not beat that. Will keep the project data and plenty of photos for a how to. Thanks all who have helped so far.

Point to ponder. The 2150 is a widely used carb on Fords and AMC engins back in the day. The same carb was used on most any thing you can think of. The 1.08 Body size that was from all I have read is the best match for the 258 Inline 6. Well that was on the 79 Pinto as well as a ton of others. After looking for the best price I have learned if you want one for a Mustang it will cost you more than one for a Pinto even though it is the same unit! Go figure.

Also dealer to dealer prices are wide spread. I bought my Pinto unit from Auto Zone for 159.99 and core charge. NAPA wanted 274.00 plus shipping and core charge. The research was worth the time spent.

Later Tug

That's cool Tug, and cheaper than I paid for my Holley!
