To Bounty:
I stand corrected. The M151 does appear to be coil-ed all the way around. Here's a pic of the front: http://www.fas.org/man/dod-101/sys/l...MSN8208121.JPG

Where are you, what color are they (not a big deal), and will they bolt right in or is there going to be drilling involved.
CRIMSON- I think the '91 YJ had a 4.0l 6cyl as an option and has the slanted rollbar. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.

Denver, grey, and yes they will. we would only need to trade the rear bars minus the windshield bars. we would only be paying shipping for the trade which I'm not sure as to how much. I'll look around if you'd like. You still in PA?

Yes, '91 was the first year of the MPFI 4.0L in a YJ, and the last year of the slanted rear rollbar.
The two styles of YJ rollbars are close to a perfect swap, you just have to redrill one or two holes in the floor plates of the main hoop.
Main problem with swapping is getting the torx bolts out that fasten the rollbar to the jeep. Most end up welding a nut to the top of the torx bolt and backing it out with a wrench.

short wheelbase. The Jeeps axles are close together because they are short. Makes for very capable offroading!

Okay heres my thoughts. I have an 03 wrangler which I adore and would not trade for the world. I'd be happy sleeping in it any day if society didn't think me wrong for it. lol
I like laura, love the freeness of a jeep, the top off, doors off, everything out in the open feel. You can't beat that. I too love the rugged coolness of jeep mods, they all rock in thier own rights. My FAVORITE thing to do is stand in my street with the hose pouring water in my brand new jeep that has been gutted of carpets and other luxuries (back seat, etc.) lol People give me the best stares. My second favorite thing to do is laugh inwardly at my neighbor who hates bringing his own truck in his driveway because of the muddy runoff running down the street from mine being washed.
I'm not digging the jeep wave thing or the Jeepers everywhere are cool thing. People where I live are NOT friendly and NOT interested in a female jeeper like me. I get hardly any waves, no matter how many I give out and I can park right next to a jeeper, smile and say hi and barely get a hi back. Who knows why, but I do know my local jeep club is a sham. They want nothing to do with me either and don't respond to messages I've left or anything. I cannot find any legal wheeling spots in my area, except the national seashore which is a yearly pass thing with set hours you can wheel. Soooooo, all this has me kinda dissilussioned on the jeeper world.
On the other hand, not to bash all jeepers, the people on JEEPZ.COM are like long lost family and friends that I've never had. Everyone here is totally awesome and I couldn't ask for more support or information than I get here. I would never turn my back on Jeepz.
I don't like the window option that I got in my jeep, the half door removable window thing. The zip windows are diving me insane now that the weather is cold. If I want some air I have to have ALL air or NO air. Such a pain. lol I may change that someday. In the summer though, its cool to pull of the top of the window and still have some door there.
My one other thing is that I have the 4cyl and I could use a tad bit more power, I'd not suggest one even though they are still a great vehicle. For the difference in prices, just get a 4.0L.
So theres my good and bad. lol

damn 18k....??? you can make one bad a#$ jeep with that.......I would looke for a good used one for about 11 or 12 and spend the rest on mods.....that would get you going real nice......oh and the thing I love about my YJ is the fact that every week I can dump another $100 into it and still want more stuff....that and driving through huge mud pits....ohhh yeah!!!
