I have a 1993 Jeep Wrangler that I have converted to a chevy 350 v8 700r4 and np241 t-case. My problem is I can drive it at 70 mph no problem, but when I start slowing down it makes a rattling noise. It only does it when I slow down. I was wondering if there is any fix to this, others have recommended me to get a SYE, I am just really trying to get out of spending 350 for the kit plus a new driveshaft. There has to be another way. Do you think that using a t-case drop will fix it if so how much drop will I need? Thanks.

i am going to go with axle roll in this case... just a guess... but when you slow down, the axle will roll forward, causing the lower Ujoint to bind.... this can be fixed by

A. pointing your pinion higher
B. installing an ani-wrap device
C. SYE with CV shaft.

You must have a wicked angle with that SOA setup? I'm not sure you can avoid the SLE route. You might need Snitty's
"all of the above"
