I have a 94 YJ and if I drive it around for a while (only takes about 5-15 minutes after start) the idle will go down low and start to get really irregular. Sometimes at stops it'll even die. If it doesn't die after idling weird, it'll go and idle at 2500 rmps and then eventually going down. I think this is hurting my MPG. I had a mechanic look and it and he said that i have a messed up fuel pump sensor. Any other ideas?

Behind the EGR valve there are some holes, stick your little finger in there with the motor stopped and push the diaphram towards the top, this takes some force. Sometimes the EGR sticks in the partially open position. Working it in and out will loosen it up for awhile. A good cleaning or replacement are the only real solutions. This might be your problem. Could also be an vacuum leak that only happens when a accuator is enganged. The ERG valve and the vacuum lines are worth a close look wether this is your problem or not and not just wasted time if itīs something else.[addsig]
