Shackle lift and a shackle reversal kit

I have an '89 YJ that I purchased in the past 2 months, so I am new to the jeep world but am enjoying getting to know and work on my vehicle. The question I have is I currently have a 1" shackle lift on my YJ and was looking at adding a shackle reversal kit to improve my handling. Does the reversal kit really work as well as advertised at improving handling? If so does anyone know of a bolt on kit that would be available? The kit I found with either JC Whitney or Acme (I can't remember which) was a weld on model. I believe there was a previous post about a bolt on kit with jeeperz-creeperz but was I unable to locate it at there site. Thanks for the knowledge. [addsig]
