Just wondering if anyone else out there has an off center steering column? I had my buddy who's a mechanic look at it and he tried to center it as much as possible. After my jeep was stolen they replaced the steering column with a new one and it's still the same. You can see it's off center where the dash board sort of wraps around the column.

Mine is straight but I've seen what you're talking about. I've always chalked it up to poor manufacturing tolerances.

Looking for a set of Discos for my '89 YJ with 4" lift.

I'd leave it where it is and would NOT recommend trying to center it - the pedals would be too far away and the console is usually very, VERY uncomfortable!!!! HaHa

Crazy heater

THere is an upside down saddle under there that holds the column up. Loosen the bolts and try to straighten it. I think that the bolt holes are slotted for adjustment.

I have seen them were there are Engineering problems. My wifes old Beretta stearing Colomn was the worst. But If It was straight before you should be able to get it straight again.
