bds suspension lift

i have just purchased a 4 in. bds sus lift for an 82 cj7. It did not come with the spacers for the t. case but that does not seem to be a problem to make out of 3/4 in. tubing....right? Any suggestions before I start the project? Lots of pb blaster? Will the brake lines need to be extended? Any suggestions are appreciated.

Yes, your brake lines will have to be replaced. As far as the transfer case drop, does you rear leafs have shims?? If so then you won't need to drop the case. I would personally angle the back axle before dropping the case. Why go up just to lower something back down??

My Yj kit came with both shims and a drop kit. I just did both.

If your kit is missing something you paid for, they will probably send it to you free of charge - at least they should!

if you don't have a cv style shaft... it is not a good idea to go shimming the axle too far.... but... you can put in a 2 degree shim for every 2 degrees the driveline drops

Shimming the axle would "HELP" the angle of the rear drive shaft back towards the normal pitch after lifting the Jeep. And being a CJ the stardard (Don't know the degree #) for a four inch lift should be perfect without any ill effects. I understand the YJ has a slip yoke that can't handle axle shimming alone without the use of a eliminator added or dropping the T-case.

But I agree if it is SUPPOSE to be in the kit then call them up and say Send me what I paid for!!!!
