4.2 sputtering

i ran my vac lines just like listed above. runs BETTER but still stutters and backfires when you punch it. no more power either. the thing that has me wondering is that with a constant vacuum pull coming from that port that means that vacuum is constantly advancing the timing right? why not just advance the timing to begin with and use the port that advances the timing when you give it gas? screw it im going with a motorcraft to see if that makes a difference.
