Well as some of you know I chose a 2004 Rubicon when I needed a daily driver to go 40 miles a day each way to work. I am pleased to say after 3000 miles I have no complaints and no problems. The way the weather has been this winter it is proving to be a good choice. I am actually leaving work right now and its snowing hard here in Long Island. No worries though. Jeep always gets you home.

Yes it does. No Rubi here, but ol' Whitey got me through many a nasty trek - an icy one tonight!

hey joejeepny how is your Rubi offroad? I heard stories that the Dana 44's aren't really Dana 44's. Please forgive my ignorance but what's the story on that. Aloha.

They're D44's, just have thinner axle tubes than most D44's out there. Same axletube wall thickness as the D35. TJ Sport rear D44 is the same way. Often referred to as fake D44's.

Still the best off the lot wheelin maching out there Glad you're happy with yours.

I turned my 94 YJ into a rubicon. Put a sticker on my hood! Does that mean I now have fake dana 44's??? hehehe

Honestly I wheel with a could of rubi's and they are awesome. If they came with factory 33's and disco's, they would be selling even faster!

A jeeper I now did something similar, but his hood says 'NON-RUBICON' in the same size and font decal as the real Rubi. What can I say, we like our 4bangers

Have not taken the rubi off road yet. My other three trucks are for that at the moment untill I have time to work on the rubi. I dont like to take a vehicle offroad without good bumpers and skid plates. It is great in the snow though. I arrived at work early during the snow storm. Less cars on the road means I can travel faster then normal rush hour. Put 10"+ on the ground at 6:30 in the morning and the commute is easier then dry ground.

If you replace you headlights with breast implants you could have a boobycon.

The lockers are cool. They have a switch which turns them on and off. The first push locks the rear the second push locks the front. If you push it again the front toggles on and of. If you lift the switch they both go off. The only thing is they only work in 4-low. I guess they did not want you to lock them at speed. I wonder what would happen if you jumped out the power to the switch and made it work all the time. Would it damage the axle to lockup at speed?

There is a bypass mod you can due to allow the lockers to function in all ranges.

My Jeep died again! Please help :(

I would guess power is fed to the switch through the transfer case. bring it directly from a power source and they should work all the time but can you throw the switch at 50mph.
