This week in Moab...

Wow! What a place to visit and explore!

Saturday was a drive day. We were able to get Fins & Things trail in also.

Sunday we did the Moab Rim trail.

At the second overlook with the whole group. One almost flop at the Z turn but I jumped on the back bumper and was soon accompanied by two women! He stayed in place and drove off.

Monday we did the long trail. Poison Spider, Golden spike and Gold Bar rim.

We had one flop and roll (360) - Interesting to see but I would not want to experience it first hand. It landed on the rubber and he was able to drive it out. We also had a driver side rear tire fall completely off (sheared lug bolts on the axle). Had to pull the other three tires to get enough lug bolts to get him out.

And finally. Some of you know that I run (a lot) for my health. Here I am on an open expanse of the Golden Spike trail headed for the Launch Pad!

As many pics I have seen of MOAB, it never ceases to amaze me at how beautiful that place is.

I hereby motion that cewtwo be banned from the Jeepz.com forums under the pretense that he is having too much fun and rubbing it in.

Honestly, I enjoy reading your trip reports. Keep it up.

How deep is the Golden Crack? Every picture I see shows the vehicles approaching from the side...which is the proper technique. I think I could hit it straight on judging from the pics. I know sometimes pics don't do obstacles justice.

I'm so jelous, I can't wait till the weather clears up where I am so my friends and I can get out on the trials. I'd love to be that close to Moab though, that place just looks absolutely breathtaking. cewtwo, keep up the with the pictures, it's like a quick fix, haha.

I am still reeling from the fun that was had last week.

I ran most of the trails last week.

This was what we did -
Saturday - Fins n Things
Sunday - Moab Rim
Monday - Poison Spider Mesa,
Golden Spike (one of the rigs flopped then rolled on this one),
Gold Bar Rim (another rig broke all of the lug studs on his driver rear tire - He watched the tire fall off)
Tuesday- Hell's Revenge
Wednesday - Behind The Rocks
Thursday - Cliff Hanger
Friday - Klondike Bluffs to Thompson Junction via Salt Flats Road
I-70 to Denver

As I ran, I had my camera, so if an interesting picture availed itself, I would take it or several at a time. As of Wednesday (at a get-together) we exchanged pictures and ended up with 3800 pictures. It will take a long time to go through them all.
